The New Space

This architecturally and acoustically stunning space is fitting to our musical heritage, and a tremendous legacy to future generations of students

-Professor Michael Burden, Fellow & Tutor in Music at Ï㽶ֱ²¥

The New Space is an intimate venue situated in the heart of Oxford specialising in chamber and instrumental music, early music and song. The repertoire of the hall extends from contemporary jazz through to music of the renaissance.

Music has been central to the foundation of Ï㽶ֱ²¥ in 1379, and the choir and choir school persist to this day. Ï㽶ֱ²¥â€™s musical culture today is livelier than ever, and the College is host to the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Music Society, New Chamber Opera and a wide array of professional and student music. Now with the addition of the New Space the College can continue to deliver music making of an exceptional quality.
